Dazzle Events started behind the decks and grew into a Chicago production company with its own inventory and its own crew. Creative direction by DJ Mayhem, our founder and lead performer. Delivery by the Dazzle production team: sound engineering, setup techs, booth attendants and a bench of partner performers.
The approach is the same for a product launch, a holiday party or a 250-guest wedding: a planning portal and a timeline before the event, the right system for the room, and a crew on site until the last case is packed.

Martin was introduced to us by Dj Miriam to coordinate our reception! These two absolutely killed it together. Manish & I couldn't be more confident beforehand in these two's abilities in making our night super memorable. Martin has worked the logistics of all our needs since the very start of our wedding planning. Martin and Miriam knew how important It was to incorporate Indian music and beats into our Mexican themed reception. Martin has all sorts of amazing lighting, accesories, innovative ideas, and mixes the crowd adored. Martin saved the night many times by helping us cross out little events we originally wanted to help keep the flow moving in a timely manner during the same night. I hope we continue crossing paths with Martin and Miriam much past this event to continue supporting what they do. We love to party and the party was definitely delivered. There so much we could say about Martin! Our wedding night would not have been the same without him. Not only is he extremely professional, knowledgable and passionate about what he does. He’s caring and made us feel that this day was just as important to him as it was to us. And he definitely knows how to throw a good party! His music choices and mixing will get anyone up and dancing! He paid attention to EVERY detail and went BEYOND any expectation we had. It was a night to remember for us and all of our guests.
Fantastic experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a DJ for a wedding/party! Martin was an complete professional from start to finish. He was so well organized and made the planning portion easy and fun. There was no request he was unable to accommodate and provided thoughtful suggestions throughout. The day off the event he was there early and prepped with everything needed. He did a great job getting all of our friends and family engaged on the dancefloor all night. Constantly checking in to make sure my wife and I were having a great time and if we needed anything. I had multiple people come up to me and comment how amazing the DJ was and ask where I found if and for his contact information for their wedding. 12/10 would recommend to anyone and we're so grateful for all of Martin's hard work!!
Several guests asked us that night, "Where did you find this DJ?!" while they kept dancing nonstop. Easily the most asked question of the night - the good songs just did not stop! People loved the selection of songs that the next day the feedback was wishing he'd play a "not great song" so guests could run to the bathroom then back to the dance floor. Martin was helpful in catering the music to both our tastes and also being respectful of songs/artists we did not want to include. His set up was great and added to the dance floor ambiance. He met with us twice before the wedding to make sure he had all the information and small details that honestly, neither of us thought about. Since we didn't have many traditional things in our wedding, he was helpful in still incorporating some aspects such as first dance with both songs we love, a family dance instead of father/daughter mother/son, etc. It was important to us that music was played that appealed to both our tastes and our guests and somehow he included songs across music genres and languages - Chappel Roan to Bad Bunny to Selena to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and beyond. While we only had Martin for the dancing portion of our wedding, I can only imagine the energy and excitement he would bring to other areas of a wedding.
I can't say enough good things about having Martin DJ our wedding. He was very professional through the whole process and was very dilligent about making sure he knew all the details of the ceremony, dinner, guest arrival, reception and dancing so we had the right vibe the entire time. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great DJ to cultivate a good party. Music is so important for a wedding and he delivered more than we could have imagined. What I liked the most is he voiced his opinion on what he thought was best process and since he has DJ'd so many weddings, he really was right and it made the whole experience even better for us. 10/10!
I had the chance to perform with DJ Mayhem at Trump Tower last month, playing violin alongside him. Despite several last-minute changes from the client, he was a rock—handling song switches, my sound setup, my EQ, and timing seamlessly. He’s not only incredibly skilled but also thoughtful, detail-oriented, and easy to work with. His sound is solid, his instincts are sharp, and he knows exactly how to read a room and bring the vibes. He brings the right mix of professionalism, personality, and music to elevate any event. Grateful for the experience—and looking forward to many more!
Martin was the best DJ we could've hoped for at our wedding. He was extremely responsive, organized and helped me plan everything out. Our friends are still complimenting our wedding playlist! He took all of my my music and mixed it into the best party track. He constantly checked in with me making sure the vibes were right. We are so thankful and loved dancing the night away.
This is LONG overdue but I really wanted to take a moment to thank Martin for everything he did on our big day! Martin was extremely organized and professional since day one and I truly appreciated that so much because wedding planning is a crazy time for everyone and having someone attentive and following up is so important. He made the planning process so seamless. For our wedding day, I cannot thank him enough for going above and beyond to make sure our day went as smooth as possible! Everything was so organized, speeches, dances, announcements and most importantly, the party was LIT! Martin was very attentive and if it wasn't for him some things could have gone south but he stayed on top of everything even while keeping the dancefloor alive and he managed to stay in communication with us the whole time. He worked closely with our Mariachi and even plugged them into his sound system which I truly appreciated because it was one less thing to worry about. Martin & Dazzle Events was truly one of a kind for our wedding! Martin's attention to detail and the ability to read the crowd to create a perfect atmosphere was remarkable. Leading up to the wedding, Martin's professionalism was to the highest level and took the time to listen to each of our requests and gave us recommendations as well to make our wedding day perfect! Martin's effective communication skills made it super easy to work him and made sure that we did not miss any details with flexible scheduling and setting up multiple touch point calls. We hosted our wedding in September 2024. Martin was amazing to work with from the start. We utilized his service for the ceremony through dancing. He provided us with planning sites that allowed us to put day of schedule in and all our song requests. He was on top of things with scheduling meetings so we can coordinate ahead of time. Not only was this super helpful for us, he followed it to perfection on our wedding day. Our biggest want for our wedding was to keep the dance floor going all night. Martin killed it!! We had some many compliments the next day about how great the music was and how much everyone enjoyed dancing all night. We also brought in Martin's teammate DG Sax to open the dance floor with a Saxophonist. DG Sax and Martin played together for an hour and it was amazing! I cannot say enough great things about Dazzle Events!

What does Dazzle Events do?

Do you work corporate events as well as weddings?
Yes. Corporate events and brand activations are one door; weddings and private celebrations are the other. Same team, same gear, same process.
Are you bilingual?
Yes. DJ and MC in English and Spanish.
Are you insured?
Yes. Dazzle Events carries liability insurance and provides certificates of insurance to your venue’s requirements on request.
Do you own your equipment?
Yes. Sound (QSC and RCF), lighting (uplights, moving heads, LED tubes), effects (cold sparks, low fog, CO₂), the photo booth and the DJ gear (Pioneer CDJ-3000s and DJM mixers) are owned, maintained and run by our crew.
